Proper Use Of An Aspire Credit Card

Whether its an Aspire credit card or a card from another bank or credit card company, regardless of how seemingly innocent it is, remember if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. You should stop and ask yourself, why are the payments so low? Probably because the credit card company thinks that you're not an informed consumer. Before you sign your credit card application or submit your online application, make sure to read the fine print. Make sure you know your interest rate, grace period, payment date and time, etc.

Once you're sure that you've got all of the information and you're ready to use your credit card, the work doesn't stop. You've got to make sure to be very careful. Make your payments on time and NEVER go over your credit limit. Doing so will add late fees and over limit fees to your interest rate and will bury you quicker than you can say "Charge It! " And if you have a low introductory rate, late fees and over limit fees can raise that rate (but if you truly read your credit card agreement like a good consumer, you already knew that! )

Credit cards, if you must use them and if you use them correctly, can be a true convenience it's true. They do make it easier to rent a car, reserve airline tickets or confirm a motel room. Just remember with the good comes the bad if you're not careful.
