You should always use caution when you use your card and never give out any personal information to anyone you do not know or are not sure of. Unfortunately no one can protect your credit as good as you can so be careful when you use it and who you give information out to.
Should I give out my credit card number when I buy things online?
There are thousands of safe web sites to purchase things off of online. It is okay for you to give out your credit card number when you purchase things this way as well. However, you should be a wise consumer and use caution when you shop online. You should always be cautious and if you are on a website that you feel is not safe or you're not comfortable with move on to another there are sure to be plenty of sites that sell what you are buying.
You should also be a wise consumer and make sure you shop on a web site that is secure. It is not hard to tell if a web site is secure because it will be posted where you can see it before you give out your credit card information. It is safe to shop online and a great way to find bargains.
