It's no big deal if someone has my credit card number but not my card right?

Be careful who gets a hold of your credit card number because if someone with ill intentions gets hold of it they can make purchases with it and they don't even need your card. Technology has made it possible for consumers to shop online and over the telephone and buy things with their credit card using only the number. This has made things easier for consumers and merchants alike.

Unfortunately it has made things easier for credit card bandits who steal other consumers credit cards and credit card numbers. You do not have to be afraid to make purchases this way however you should learn to be a little caution and if something seems fishy to you it probably is. If you feel uncomfortable giving out your credit number to anyone be it online, over the phone or in person don't give it out.

You are most likely not purchasing an item that is one of a kind so you can always find it somewhere else. It is important that you feel safe with the companies that you do business with so take time and make sure that your are!
