If I could start my credit card history over, I would definitely have put my search for the best credit card rates available as a top factor. Back when I started applying for credit cards, I was so naive and just excited about the possibility of having a credit card. Then it went from one to two to three credit cards, and interest rates happened to not be a factor at all in deciding to accept these credit cards.
Now over a decade later I have become more knowledgeable on credit and how to make it favorable. Like they say, you have to experience things sometimes before you learn, and my credit history definitely was and has been one of those experiences. Actually, in some areas of my credit history drama I still have not learned my lesson-not like I should have.
Due to what I have experienced, I say to you to please keep in mind that when you seek credit cards be sure to find those with the best credit card rates possible. What I did not consider when I first started using credit cards was that when you charge something on a card you are also charged interest. I was in my first year of college when I received my first two credit cards, so the little laboratory job I held did not give me enough income to pay off my full balances within the month.
If you do not pay off these balances within the month, they are carried over and interest is added making your purchases more than what you initially were charged. This is something to keep in mind, especially if you have a credit card with a high interest rate.
