Trans union will give you a free copy of your credit report once a year because they want you to be a wise consumer. That means they want you to know about your credit and understand it. A wise consumer knows what their credit score is, what is on their credit report and reviews their credit report on occasion to check for errors. Your credit report is personal and all the information on it is about you and effects you so it is wise to know what it says.
Contact trans union and request your free copy of your credit report from them. Be sure to check it for errors because an error on your credit report could result in you being denied for credit you have earned and deserve and that's not fair. Unfortunately errors happen on credit reports just like they happen anywhere else. An error won't report itself so you have to be responsible and review your credit report on occasion to check for errors so you can take the proper steps to have it removed.
