Choosing a Business Credit Card

Choosing a business credit card for your small business is a great way to start building business credit. As always, with any credit application it is absolutely neccessary for you to check you credit report. You can obtain a copy of your credit report and score for Trans Union, Equifax, or Experian. There are other companies you may wish to choose for your credit report, but these three are the top three credit reporting companies.

Obtaining a business credit card is usually easier than getting a bank loan or line of credit. It is recommended to use two to three business credit cards to build your business credit. Before you apply for a business credit report, make sure they report to a credit report and scoring bureau. You want your business credit to show in your credit report. If the credit card company does not report to your credit reporting company contact them to request to have the lender reported. Once you know that they are reported, fill out the application.

Filling out Credit Card Applications

When you fill out a business credit card application make sure that you read everything slowly and carefully. Read the terms and conditions, as well as the privacy policy. It is important to make sure that you understand everything before you sign it.
