Also, don't be fooled by a consolidation company simply because they claim to be non-profit. There are many non-profit firms that are not reputable and many of them advertise nationally on television and radio. However, don't be confused - not ALL non-profit companies are bad - you just have to be cautious with who you are dealing with.

What If I Don't Want To Go Through Credit Card Debt Consolidation?

That's easy enough - stay out of debt! This is really easier to do than you think. Live within your means and develop responsible spending habits early. If you must use credit cards, and let's face it we all do, then keep small balances that can be paid off at the end of the month. Following these simple rules is the best way to avoid debt consolidation completely.
