Don't Let Bad Credit Keep You from Getting an Auto Loan (cont.)

Contributed by Rachel Johnson

Who gives people with bad credit an auto loan?

Just about all lenders, although there are a few that will not consider even moderate credit ratings. If you're working with a car dealership that offers financing, you should try getting an auto loan through them. Usually, they can tell you up front if they think you'll qualify with one of their lenders. Usually, these car dealerships work with hundreds of banks, and you'll qualify with one of them.

If you cannot or choose not to get an auto loan through the dealership, your bank may be a good place to get an auto loan, Many banks have second chance auto loan programs, so don't hesitate to apply! The worst thing that can happen is they say no! And even then, you're no worse off than you were when you applied.

The internet is also an awesome resource for auto loans. Many companies now feature auto loan quotes online, and you can have an answer in just minutes or hours. Many websites offer three or four quotes on auto loans, so you can pick the best one for you. Even with bad credit, you'll find that there are lenders on the internet who will give you a chance!

Don't let bad credit hold you back from getting an auto loan. An auto loan can be the stepping stone you need to get back on track!
