How to obtain a Credit Report?

Credit reports are readily available online. There are a variety of websites dedicated to providing you with your credit report. Just by typing in 'credit report' in a web search engine will produce thousands of hits. Some websites ask you to enroll in a monthly monitoring system, while others will just provide you with a report for a fee. Either way you need to periodically look at your credit report.

If at anytime your wallet is stolen, your identity can be stolen. Think about all the pertinent information you carry in your wallet. It can contain drivers license, social security number, credit cards, and bank information. It can also have phone numbers and addresses of not only friends but businesses you use. With the variety of online resources your credit report can very easily be at risk for damage.

Fraudulent Charges on your Credit Report

Anyone that can obtain your credit card can charge on it. No, they don't have to have it in their hand to charge on it either. With so many shop online websites there are now they can easily use it. These sites usually just ask for the credit card type, number, and sometimes expiration date. Then they can charge til their hearts content while you foot the bill. They may also be able to open new credit cards in your name and charge on them as well.
