If you live in a state which mandates a free credit report annually to it's residents (like Massachusetts), you can get a copy of each of them for free. But logging on to the free credit reports sites will only get you one, so keep that in mind.
When you are denied credit, the company who did the denying has to submit to you, in writing, the reason why you were denied credit. In this letter, they will inform you of which credit bureau they obtained their information from, either Experian, Trans Union or Equifax (or two, or maybe even all three). On the letter will also be a code or some sort of customer identification number. All you have to do now if contact the credit bureau, and they will send you a copy of your credit report.
You can also enter this information on website of the credit bureau. Just do a simple search for the names of the big three and you will be able to get a free copy of your credit report.
If you find errors, remember this. The credit bureaus are legally obligated to be on your side, and are more than willing to assist you in your endeavors for an error free credit report!
