Naturally the lead banners you will see are for the "excellent" credit applicants, and those with annual incomes of perhaps $15,000 or better. But worry not, because for those with discharged bankruptcies, or who are in credit abuse recovery, there are still online application portals. Even secured credit cards are within reach online. And the standard wisdom does apply: obtaining a credit card and using it wisely, paying consistently, and having all this reported to the credit bureaus is in fact the best way to repair your credit.
It was predicted by sociologists in the 1960's and 1970's that carrying around cash in our pockets would be obsolete by the 21st Century. That is nearly the case. Since you can apply online for that credit card, and use it online, the vanity of even carrying plastic around in your wallet itself seems obsolete. Many online credit cards have reciprocal relationships with other online businesses such as Amazon.com, Ebay and others.
There are rewards programs built in to your online credit card that make going online and staying online a money-saving proposition. So, rather than risking life and limb at the currency exchange (where there is no "Back" button! ), try the Internet as a resource for your new credit card.
