Free Credit Reports with Hidden Fees

Sometimes fees that are associated with the free credit report are tough to find. That is why they are commonly know as hidden fees. These hidden fees can be imposed on you in a number of ways. From processing fees to verification of a credit card or bank account, there are ways these companies try to charge you for a free credit report.

After you patiently filled out form after form, or even just skipped the offers, you find on the last page of your application a fee will be assessed. Sometimes it is a nominal fee, but other times it can be a bit more costly. Typically fees for a free credit report range from $0 to about $25. If the fee is cheap it will not hurt to pay for it, but make sure you trust the company you give your personal information to. Try to avoid giving your credit card or any personal information to any online site or company that you have not researched.

Finding a truly free credit report is rare. But, as with any consumer purchase, shopping around will get you your best deal. Good luck!
