This is an important thing to do because there could be errors on it that are damaging to your credit score. Don't think for a moment that items don't get reported in error and the only you will know if something is on there in error is to look. No one else is going to find them so it is up to you to look!

It's easy to get an online credit report. There are lots of agencies out there that offer copies of your online credit report and many of them will offer you one for free! It only takes minutes to get a copy and it is a wise decision for you to get a copy and look over it. You want to know what your credit looks like to others and there is only one way to find out what creditors see and that way is to look at it.
When you do get a copy you should see what your credit score is, review it to confirm that all of your personal information is accurate and up to date and you should review it for errors. It's your credit so be aware of what it says!
