A trans union credit report is a document that a potential creditor will look at to determine if they will issue you credit or not. Your credit score will be on your trans union credit report and you credit score is what the decision to give you credit is based on. Your credit report is very personal and you must give permission for someone to look at the report. Your credit report will have your name, address, birth date and your social security number.
It will also have your credit history listed on it and every purchase you have made using credit. If you ever defaulted on a loan or were late with a payment or payments it will be listed on your credit report. How much your credit limits are and how much of them you have used is also listed on your trans union credit report. It is a wise idea to get a copy of it and look at it ever once in a while to see what it says about you.
There are a number of places you can get a copy of your credit report and it easy enough to request a copy so take the time a few times a year to get a copy and see what it says. You want to look good to others so check it out and make sure you do! If you don't look so good fix it so you do!
