So now that you have decided it's time to get out of credit card debt, you need a plan. Don't worry, you're not alone, there are nearly two million Americans that are currently in the same sinking boat with you, but fortunately for all two million of you, there's a life guard standing by ready to help. When you look at the way credit cards are set-up, it's easy to see that the credit card companies set out to make it really easy for you to use your card, carry a balance and make them money.
If you are serious about getting out of credit card debt, you will have to make choices that you may not like. You will be forced to choose between buying that sweater at the mall or putting that extra $50 toward your credit card bill. Now don't get me wrong, it's not always going to be an easy choice. After all, there are a lot of end-of-the-season sales right now, and temptation lies on every rack. But, if you are serious about getting out of credit card debt, the tough choices will have to be made.
Contrary to what you may want to believe, you are not entitled to everything in the world, you are only entitled to what you can earn and realistically pay for. Don't rely on credit cards to keep you afloat, when the going gets tough and you want to get out of credit card debt, the tough doesn't buy that sweater.
