An important thing to remember when looking for a new credit card, is the payment plan that goes along with it. In most cases credit card companies will set you up with a plan that fits your lifestyle, and this can make a big difference in how much credit you are able to borrow.
Some companies offer bi-monthly and monthly payment plans, and other credit card companies will let you choose the date that you want your payment plan to begin on, such as the 1st, 15th, 20th, or any other date that you choose. It is recommended that you read the details of your payment options in order to make a smart decision, and ultimately one that will get you the best deal.
If you have good or exceptional credit it is likely that you will be granted any amount of credit that you ask for, assuming that you do not or will not have extensive debt in the near future. When doing a credit card comparison, it is crucial to know how much credit you are seeking. You should never take more credit than you need, it costs more. If your credit is about average don't expect to get every penny you ask for, but aim high. Ask for $5000 and you may receive $2500, but that may be all you needed anyway. If you have bad credit, expect to get little or no credit at all.
