Wachovia Small Business Credit Card
Wachovia actually offers two credit cards geared toward small business, the Platinum Plus for Business Visa and the Platinum Plus Business Rewards Visa. Both cards are essentially the same, but with the Platinum Plus Business Rewards Card, you earn reward points every time you use your card.
If you use a credit card to make purchases for your small business,if the card is used properly, you could be missing out on a powerful purchasing tool if you aren't using a rewards card. While it helps you track business spending, book travel arrangements and entertain clients, each time you use the card also you earn one point for every dollar spent. Even better, you earn 2000 points with your very first purchase and can begin redeeming your points once you hit 3500 points.
As with any credit card, however, don't go wild with your spending just because you're going to earn some great rewards. You don't want your business, small or otherwise, to be sunk before it gets the chance to swim. Incurring too much debt during the first phases of your business will sink your ship in a hurry. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't start a business on a shoestring, just look at Steve Gates. Yes, to a point, you have to spend money to make money. But, as a general rule of thumb, don't be foolish and start out spending more than you make!
