For most of us, that happens at every store in every mall or shopping center across the country. If you're wise, you'll realize that getting a credit card from every store in the mall may SOUND like a good it, but it's really just not.
All this chatter about the woes of credit cards may have you thinking that you should never get a credit card, and that's not true either. Establishing good credit is an essential part of life, especially if you plan to ever buy a house, a car, or even get a "real" job. That's right, some employers will even look at your credit history as a way to determine if you are responsible; if you're responsible with your money, you'll probably be responsible while earning that money. It's all about finding the right balance when using a credit card. Let's talk about that.
Being responsible with your credit cards means not getting in over your head when it comes to debt. If you buy something on your credit card, make sure you are going to be able to pay off the balance quickly.
