Free Credit Repair For Real?

There is absolutely free credit repair available! It's called "do-it-yourself" credit repair! Don't be swindled by those ads on television and radio that say you can't - they only want your hard-earned money in exchange for little or nothing. Everything one of these companies claim they can do, you can do for little or no cost yourself! But don't sit back and wait for THEM to tell you that!

So How Can I Do This Free Credit Repair?

Everyone has the ability to fix blemishes on their credit report. It really doesn't take a whole lot of effort, but does require time and patience. If you think this is something that can be done within a day or two - "fuhget about it! " True credit repair, free or otherwise, takes time and anyone who tells you differently is sadly mistaken.

The first thing that has to be done is the contacting of the credit bureaus. There are three, Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. By law, each of these credit bureaus are required to supply you with one free copy of your credit report each year. With three different bureaus, there is no doubt that each one may have different information on you, so it's important to get a copy from each of them - hey, it's free, right?

Once you have those copies in your hot little hands, go over them completely - twice if necessary. Make notes of any information that is questionable and any negative information.

Now that you've got that out of the way, it's time to write your letters. You will need to write letters to each of the credit bureaus for each entry that you are questioning. Do not write one letter for all entries and send it to the credit bureau in question. Send your letters by registered mail with return receipt so you can verify that they received them.
