Speaking of budgets, if you are on a budget that allows for little extra spending, a prepaid credit card may be the best thing for you. Looking at your monthly budget, if you budget $250 for the month on extra items like clothes, entertainment, dining out or anything else, you can use your prepaid credit card for that purpose. If you charge it up at the beginning of the month, when the $250 is gone, you're done buying the extra stuff that you don't necessarily have to have.
Now that you are ready to at least consider a prepaid credit card for your shopping pleasure, you should think about one further benefit - you will never pay interest on the things you purchase. That's right. With a prepaid credit card you will never be charged interest on the balance - because there is not an out-standing balance. You are not financing your purchases, you are simply using a prepaid credit card which you have already paid for with your money. You're not borrowing money from Peter to pay Paul, you're paying Paul with your own money - just in a different form.
