Why should I never tell anyone my credit card number? If they don't have my card they can't buy anything.

You should never give you credit card number to anyone that you are not doing business with because they can use it to make purchases and your card is not required. Shopping online has become a very popular way for consumers to shop. The way that consumers make these online purchases is by giving out a credit card number the physical card is not required. It would be very easy for someone to make a purchase this way suing your information so be sure to protect it. there are some clever people out there with very ill intentions so be safe and protect your personal information.

Is it safe to buy things online using just my credit card number?

It is safe to go shopping online and it is safe to give out your credit card number when you shop if you are cautious. You should always make sure that you are shopping on a secure web site. A secure web site means there are firewalls and other ways to protect your personal information that are used by the web site. Secure web sites are advertised on the web page so it is not difficult to tell if you are on a secure web site.

You should always take care to make sure you are on a secure web site because if you're not when you give out your personal information you could be giving it out to the whole world wide web. Even though you always wanted to be popular this is not the way to do it so always take care to make sure the site you are shopping on is a secure web page and protect your personal and credit information. If you're unsure the page is secure move along to another.
