How to Know Which Credit Card Ids the Best Credit Card for Single Moms (cont.)

Contributed by Lisa Marie

Another point about rewards- Will you use them? Are they practical for your life? If you have an intense phobia of flying, airline miles aren't the right reward for you. If you get free hotel stays and haven't been away from home in three years, this might not be a wise idea, either. If you think that you might use them, think again. If you know that you will use them, go for it. Keep in mind that it can be tough to find a sitter for overnights and weekends, so make sure you talk to potential sitters before applying for this type of reward on your credit card.

Another tip on deciding the best credit card for you

American Express offers rewards and most think no interest. They do have interest on carry over balances, but you have to pay the entire bill in full at the end of each month. If you have the ability to pay the entire bill each month, there isn't a credit card out there that will charge you interest. They will just keep raising your credit limit in hopes that someday you will carry a balance.

At the end of your search for the best credit card for you, be sure to read all fine print. Some cards will have a low APR, but the rate will go up if you default on their or any other credit card which you may have. Take all of this into consideration before deciding which is best for you.
