If I go to a debt management company and they repair my credit how will a debt reduction help my credit? Shouldn't I worry about my debt after my credit is fixed?
A debt management understands credit and how to help you with it and they will be able to explain to you how a debt reduction is part of the credit repair process. In fact it is the first step of the credit repair process. If you got a debt management company for help with your debt and credit problems the first thing they will do for you is a debt reduction.
When the amount of your debt is reduced this will help your credit score so this is one way that reducing your debt will help repair your credit. When your debt has been reduced the company will then take all of your debt balances and put them into one sum. This is called a consolidation. They will arrange for you to have only one affordable monthly payment on this amount and when you begin to make these payments you will begin to repair your credit and build your credit score.
