The Importance of Your Credit Report for Young Bachelors
You might not think that your credit report is important now, my young bachelor friends, but the truth is, it is!
Your credit report is the foundation for your entire life.
You may not think so now, but, believe it or not, you may not be a bachelor forever. And even if you are, having good credit is very important to a happy and successful life.
Getting a copy of, and keeping up on your credit report is not as tough as you may think.
The first thing that you need to do is get a copy of your credit report. There are several ways in which you can do this.
The easiest and most publicized is to go to one of those free credit report websites. Just a word of advice; do you actually think that this is free? is anything free? Ok, now that we have that squared away, you can go to one of these sites to get your report. Have your credit card handy, though, as you will need it-(told you that it wasn't going to be free). Technically, it is free, but you need your credit card information to plug into their system and then agree to their terms and conditions.
These usually include voluntarily signing up for a free trial of their credit services. Now, this is where you need to be careful. You need to remember to cancel your service after the free trial is over, otherwise you will be billed a monthly charge on your credit card for their services.
Another way is to go to the websites of the three major credit bureaus- Experian, Trans Union and Equifax. They are all listed on various search engines, so they are easily found. Click onto their sites and follow the directions for getting a copy of your credit report. Sounds simple, huh? well, just hold on a minute. There is usually a charge for services rendered, so be prepared for that.
