Think about a Bank Auto Loan When You're Shopping for That New Car

Contributed by Annie Bauers

Does the car dealer have the best deal or should I shop bank auto loans too!

The car dealerships do not necessarily have better better auto loans than the bank they just have faster ones. The car dealer wants to make a sale as fast as they can and you want your new wheels as fast as you can get them. A car dealer will set you up with a loan as quickly as they can and if you are like most consumers you will take it as quickly as you can.

This is a mistake unless you have taken the time shop for other auto loans including bank loans before you take it. this is not to say you can't find a good deal on an auto loan if you take one from the car dealer. What this is to say is you won't know if you got the best deal if you don't have anything to compare it to. Car dealerships usually charge a higher interest rate than you would pay on a bank loan. This is why it is important for you to shop all loans before you get your new car.

It is easy to get yourself into a loan with high interest because you want your new car. Be a wise consumer and shop all of the different loans before you commit to one if you don't it could cost you in interest.

What is the point in shopping for a bank auto loan? Aren't all loans the same?

All auto loans are not the same and you should always take the time to shop around at what the bank is offering before you take a loan from the car dealer or somewhere else. Sure it's true your interest rate is based on your credit score but that doesn't mean someone an't charge you a higher rate than you are entitled to. You should check out the auto loans at the bank before you go car shopping because you might be losing out on a lower interest rate.
