For those with a not-so-favorable credit history, like myself when I was applying for credit cards, you will probably still receive many credit card offers in the mail. If you have recently paid off old credit cards and are in the process of repairing and cleaning up your history, you will definitely receive these offers, especially from those companies you have just paid off. I look at it as another way for them to try to reel you back in and get your business again.
At the time, it may give you a good feeling to "feel wanted" but at the same time you have to be careful. Do not get yourself wrapped up in another agreement with a credit card if you have not matured and taken care of the problems that got you messed up with your credit in the first place. If you are not ready for the responsibility of credit cards again, you may set yourself up for making the same mistake again.
If you are ready to take on the responsibility do not be in such a hurry to take on the first offer that you receive.
If you have a bad credit history, it may be tough finding a credit card that offers a decent interest rate. You can always just wait and repair your credit. Then there are also secured credit cards to help you along the way. The Internet, regardless of your situation, has plenty of options to choose from; all it takes is time.
