Want to Save Money? Check the Bank for an Auto Loan

Contributed by Annie Bauers

Will I save money with a bank auto loan?

You can save yourself some money with a bank auto loan if you take your time and shop around for a loan before you secure it. Many consumers get a new car and have it financed at the car dealer and never even take the time to shop around for another loan. If you get a bank auto loan you might be able to find a much lower interest rate and a lower interest rate will save you big bucks over the course of the loan.

In fact if you have a high interest rate on your auto loan you could pay more in interest on the loan than you do for your car. That's not cool so take your time and shop around for a bank loan before you sign those papers. Sure you want a new care and you will jump at the chance to get it when it's offered to you. Many car dealers will offer you a loan right on the spot so it is hard not to take it. Who wants to go shop for an auto loan then?

If you are a wise consumer you'll do your homework and check out some bank auto loans before you do car shopping. You don't want to get a high interest rate just to get the car and find yourself refinancing the loan later on.
