The internet is a great place to get an auto loan. You can actually get pre-approved through several places so that you know how much you can spend and what your monthly payment will be. The internet can be a great resource because you can shop and compare auto loan quotes and pick which one is best for you.
Auto loan day! What to expect when you actually apply
The day you apply you'll need to bring with you all of the documentation listed above. You'll probably have to fill out a short form asking for your name, social security number, address, financial and employment information. If you're at a car dealership or bank, you'll probably know in about twenty minutes whether or not you have been approved for an auto loan.
If you are applying online, it may be a bit quicker, or it may take as much as two business days to get a reply. Obviously if you are applying online, you don't need to worry about having the forms right with you, but at some point you will probably need to fax this information to a potential lender.
Once you're approved you'll just have to sign a few papers about payment, insurance, title, and registration and you're done! You're now a car owner!
It seems more complicated than it is, really. The whole process really doesn't take all that long if you are prepared and have everything you need. So, come prepared to go home with the vehicle of your choice, because it just may happen!
