Christian Debt Management: It's Mine, Right?

Christian debt management? Hey, it's my money. Right? What's mine is mine, and God's money is what I put in the offering plate. The rest is mine, all mine. Do I sound like a two-year-old? Maybe. So?? I worked for this money, so it's mine. If I'm giving back to God, it means He gave it to me. Then if I get into debt, it's God's fault, because He gave me the money. Sound familiar? Read on.

Christian Debt Management: Accept and Move On

I don't want to be in this income bracket. Can't you give me more money, God? I'm a Christian, and you promised me blessings. How come so-and-so next door has all this money and I don't? How come I'm not a millionaire? Come on, God! Hmmm. Is someone not accepting their station in life? As a Christian, can you really, honestly say God has not provided what you need? Not the plasma TV, but what you need. God didn't make everyone a millionaire. Maybe he thought you would not make a good one!

You are who you are and where you are for a reason. It's time to accept what God has blessed you with and not presume you should have more. That leads to pressure from our wish for status and possessions, which leads to debt, which leads to the need for intervention. Learn how to use what God has given you as He intended and move on with your life. We can't expect further blessings, financial and otherwise, if we can't accept the ones we have.
