While all of the services offered by the credit bureaus are wonderful, if you have inaccurate information on any of your reports, those services aren't going to do you much good. Take the first step and order a copy of your credit report from each bureau. Read it and correct any mistakes before deciding on which of the credit monitoring services would best suit your needs.
As a rule, no. This is why it's so important to get those copies of your credit report from the bureaus. Each one may have different information on you and some of it may not be accurate.
Once you have your credit report, you should go over each one together and make notes of inaccurate information. Once you've found any and all incorrect information, you will have to sit down and compose letters to each bureau notifying them of the inaccurate entries. By law, they are required to investigate your claim and report their findings within thirty days. Any information that cannot be verified must be removed from your credit report and an updated copy must be sent to anyone who requested your credit report within the last six months.
