Will a credit card with a low apr really save me that much money?
You can save a lot of money if you get a credit card with a low apr. It is well worth the the time you spend to look for one. If you don't take the time to look for a credit card with a low apr you will spend money not time. Even if you don't qualify for the lowest interest rates that are offered you will still save money if you look for a lower apr on your credit card.
If you are able to secure a card that has an interest rate that is even only one or two points lower than the one you have now you will still save a lot of money. What is even better is that the lower the interest rate you have on your card the easier it will be to make your payments and to build your credit score. The higher your credit score is the lower you apr will be on future credit cards!
Don't despair because if you are unable to get the lowest interest rates that are offered now you will be able to soon if you find a lower rate than you have now. Take your time and shop for one you and your credit will be very glad you did!
Is it hard to qualify for a credit card with a low apr?
Credit cards with a low apr are generally reserved for consumers who have very high credit scores. This does not mean that you will never qualify for one nor does it mean you won't qualify for a lower rate than you have now. The way credit works is that the higher your credit score is the lower your apr will be. As your apr gets lower it will be easier for you to make your payments and pay off your balances.
