Contributed by Annie Bauers

If I write a credit repair letter of dispute where do I send it?

If you write a credit repair dispute letter it has to go directly to the credit reporting agencies. It does not have to go the creditor or anywhere else. You can repair your credit with a letter of dispute but you must include particular information in it and send it to the proper party. The proper party is the credit reporting agencies and you must include only what they request in the letter. Do not put what you think belongs in there put what they tell you belongs in the letter.

If there is an error on your credit report you want to get your letter in as soon as possible so that you can get it off there even sooner.
